Today was something else in a handbasket.|
Got up this morning and looked outside my window.
If my car was black, it would have looked like a skunk. There was a white line of bird crap straight down the middle of the car. It was really strange looking. So, I washed it at 11. I went out there again at 3, and they had already tagged it several times again. This time, I didn't have time to wash it: I had to pick up Jamie.
So I picked up Jamie and her mother and we drove to the airport. There we discovered that her flight was delayed an hour to 7:45, so we got something to eat at one of the cafes in the terminal.
At 7:05, Jamie left us to go through security. She was back moments later: it was closed.
Apparently, Little Rock National Airport closes down all parts of the airport that have to do with outgoing flights at 7 on Saturdays.
After a bunch of hassle, she finally managed to get her flight transferred to early tomorrow morning - earlier than I could take her, and her mother can't take her that far in her car. So we left for Conway, hoping that Jeremy or Andrea would let her stay with them.
She's staying with Andrea, and hoping to catch a cab at 5:30 tomorrow morning so she can be there at 6:30 in time for her 7:58 flight. I would have suggested she just stay the night at the airport, but then I thought: would I really be comfortable doing something like that myself, with a carry-on like she had? I'd be too afraid someone would steal my stuff.
Then again, she may or may not be able to get a ride tomorrow, so I don't know what she'll do. Poor Jamie. It was fun driving all over Arkansas with her and her mother, though.
