Whaaat?

Life is so ridiculous.

So I was sitting in pedagogy Friday, and Dr. Lamar starts talking about who owns what companies, and how Selmer owns a vast number of the instrument manufacturers (did you know, Jeremy, that Selmer owns Conn?)

But then you have the saxophone manufacturer Yanagisawa. Selmer owns half of it. Yamaha owns the other half. They make two horns called the Vito - but one comes from Selmer and one comes from Yamaha. So you have two instruments with the same name coming from the same manufacturer, and one of them is great and the other is crap.

Then she said, "Now, the way your Reference plays reminds me of about a 150,000 serial number Mark VI."

I said, "You kill me with all this . . . knowledge."

A new phrase to add to my list of favorites: "My landmass explodes with kittens."

Also, Maynard Ferguson looks like the guy who played Bilbo Baggins. Only much larger.

That's all for now.
